Linksys unexpected Error 2118 is a network error related to the IPv6 communication protocol. It is due to a connection error, firewall/antivirus block, or incomplete router configuration.

Carry out these steps to resolve the error 2118 on your Linksys router:

  • Step 1: On your computer desktop, open the browser window and access your Linksys cloud account using the login credentials.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the left side panel to select the Router Settings tab.
  • Step 3: Select Connectivity and click the Internet Settings tab.
  • Step 4: Under IPv6, uncheck the Enabled checkbox near the IPv6-Automatic option to disable IPv6 on your Linksys router.
  • Step 5: If the problem persists, reboot your Linksys router or perform a factory reset to change the device to its default settings.

Carry out these steps to reboot your Linksys cloud account:

  • Step :1 On your default web browser, type the IP address of the Linksys router in the URL.
  • Step :2 Log in to your Linksys cloud account using the login credentials.
  • Step :3 Navigate to the left side panel to select the Router Settings tab.
  • Step :4 Click the Troubleshooting option from the drop-down list2 and select the Diagnostics tab.
