HP Envy 6075 Wireless Setup

HP Envy 6075 Wireless Setup

You can perform the HP Envy 6075 wireless setup easily using two methods:

  • Wireless setup with a router.
  • Wireless setup without a router.

Let us now look into the first method for the HP Envy 6075 printer’s wireless setup.

Wireless Setup With A Router

You can connect your printer to your wireless network in two methods.

  • Using WPS
  • Using the HP printer software.

Now, let’s discuss the steps involved in both these methods to perform the HP Envy 6075 Wireless Setup.

Using The WPS Method

Before starting with the WPS method, make sure that the following requirements are met:

  • You need a wireless network containing a WPS-enabled wireless access point or router.
  • A computer that is connected to the wireless network to which you are planning to connect your printer.
  • The HP printer software must be installed on that computer.

Follow the instructions in the Push Button Configuration method if you have a WPS router that contains a WPS push button. Follow the instructions in the PIN method in case you are not sure if your router has a push button. These methods will help you perform the HP Envy 6075 printer’s wireless setup.

The WPS PBC Method

  • To start this method, press and hold the Wireless button and the Power button on the printer at the same time for a minimum of 3 seconds. You could now see the Edge lighting’s outside edges blink in purple.
  • Turn your attention to the router and press its WPS button.
  • Your HP printer will start a timer for approximately 2 minutes, during which the wireless connection will be established.
  • You can be certain that your printer has been connected successfully if you see the Edge light glowing in purple at the light bar’s outside edges. However, if the lighting at the center of the light bar blinks in amber, it means that there is some error and the printer has not connected successfully.
  • You have now performed the WPS Push Button Configuration method to complete the HP Envy 6075 printer’s wireless setup.

The PIN Method

  • Press and hold the Information button on your printer until you see all the buttons on the control panel light up.
  • Press and hold the Information button and the Down arrow button for a minimum of 5 seconds.
  • The printer will now print a page with a PIN code. The light bar at the edges will be glowing in purple.
  • It is now time to open the configuration software (for your wireless router or access point) on your computer. Once you are within the software, you can enter the WPS PIN.
  • Wait patiently for a couple of minutes. You can be sure that the printer has connected to the wireless network successfully if the light bar glows white at the center.
  • You have now performed the PIN method to complete the HP Envy 6075 printer’s wireless setup.

Using The HP Printer Software

To connect your HP printer to an integrated WLAN 802.11 network, ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • A wireless 802.11 b/g/n network containing a wireless access point or router.
  • A computer that is connected to the wireless network to which you are planning to connect your printer.
  • The SSID (Network Name).
  • The WPA Passphrase or the WEP key, if necessary.

Complete Setup

  • In case you have not installed the HP printer software on the computer:
  • Navigate to 123.hp.com to download and then install the HP printer software.
  • Continue with the on-screen instructions to finish your printer’s wireless setup.
  • In case you already have the HP printer program installed on the computer:
