How to Uninstall Update on Mac

Uninstalling the update is impossible and also a difficult task. Once you have installed the update, you cannot remove or uninstall it. Therefore, it is recommended to re-install the macOS X that you have used previously. Before installing the OS, copy the files from the driver to the external hard drive using the Time Machine program.

Carry out these steps to install the Mac OS X on your Mac computer:

  • Step 1: Connect the external hard drive to the Mac computer using a standard USB cable.
  • Step 2: Insert the Mac OS X installation disc into the CD/DVD drive on your Mac computer.
  • Step 3: Give a double-click on the Install Mac OS X icon.
  • Step 4: In the Installer window, click the "Utilities" option available at the top of the screen.
  • Step 5: Select the Restore System from Backup option from the drop-down list.
  • Step 6: Click the Continue button followed by the Time Machine Backup icon.
  • Step 7: Choose the backup from the list to restore the system and click Next.
  • Step 8: Wait until the backup restoration is complete.
  • Step 9: It takes more time, depending on the size of data on the hard drive.
  • Step 10: After completing the restoration, click the Restart button to restart your Mac computer.
