How to Install a Lexmark Printer on Windows 7

To install the Lexmark printer driver on a Windows 7 device, follow the given procedure;

  • Step 1: Download the printer driver from the printer's official website or run the installation CD to install the printer driver on Windows 7.
  • Step 2: Open the installer file that is present in the printer software package.
  • Step 3: Click Yes to allow the Lexmark printer to make a change to the computer.
  • Step 4: In the printer driver window, select the installation type. Set the destination location for the driver storage and click on the Install button.
  • Step 5:In the next window, select Install again.
  • Step 6: First, read the license agreement and agree to the policies.
  • Step 7: Below the security notification, the printer asks access from the security software on the computer for which the security password is required. Enter the correct password and then click Continue.
  • Step 8: Choose the software list for the installation and proceed.
  • Step 9: For Hardware Setup, select Yes to get all the guided instructions, otherwise choose No thanks option.
  • Step 10: After that, the driver installation process begins.
  • Step 11: Select the suitable connection type and click Continue.
  • Step 12: From the Wi-Fi indicator light, understand the printer status of the Wi-Fi network and configure the Wi-Fi network setup.
  • Step 13:Now, set the Advanced Features such as the Scan, Email, and Fax setup.
  • Step 14: Finally, select the radio button to turn on the printer driver automatic update feature and click Continue.
  • Step 15: Now, print a sample page to verify the installation settings.
