How To Connect Canon Mx490 Printer To Wifi
The Canon MX490 printer supports wireless connection for desktops, laptops, and smartphones. The connection setup between the Canon printer and the computer can be established using the below-mentioned steps.
- Turn on the Canon MX490 printer by pressing the Power button.
- Ensure that the hardware connections and the basic printer settings are correctly set before the wireless setup.
- Press the Setup button and choose the Wireless LAN setup using the navigation keys.
- After selecting the Wireless LAN Setup, press OK.
- Wait until the printer completes the search for the Wi-Fi routers that are available near the printer.
- If your Wi-Fi router has a WPS push button, you can select the WPS Push Button method.
- Else, select the Other setup option and choose the Cableless setup option.
- Press the OK. Select Manual setup followed by the Cableless setup option.
- Press OK to complete the wireless connection.
- Now, the printer will display the Follow the instructions message to proceed with the driver installation.
- Open the downloaded driver file on your computer or insert the CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.
- Choose your desired language and click Next to begin the driver setup.
- Select the Wireless LAN Connection radio button for setting up the connection between the printer and the computer.
- Click the Connect via wireless router(recommended) option and click Next.
- Remember that the printer should be kept powered on during the driver installation process.
- Now, select your printer name from the printer list.
- If the printer name is unavailable, mark the "Setting printer could not be found on the list" checkbox.
- If your printer is displayed in the list, click on the Next button.
- On the Setup Procedure Selection screen, select the Other Methods --> Cableless Setup.
- Click Next until the Setup Wizard screen is shown.
- Once the network is determined, the Connection Completed message appears on the screen.
- Select the list of software you wish to add to the Software Installation list.
- Read and accept the End User License Agreement by clicking the Yes button.
- Now, the driver installation will take place. Process the downloading.
- Click on the Complete button and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the driver installation.
