HP Printer Skill Alexa

HP has been working long on bringing voice control feature to its printers. Thanks to the efforts, Alexa-enabled devices can also connect to HP home printers now. The printer can recognize a number of commands. You can print graphs, puzzles, bingo cards, shopping lists, and coloring pages. Here's how you can enable the Alexa skill in your HP printer. 

Connect HP Printer to Alexa

  • Step 1: Ensure that the printer and Alexa device are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Step 2: See if the printer is compatible with HP ePrint.
  • Step 3: It is the cloud-based printing service of HP, which lets you print from anywhere with an internet connection.
  • Step 4: Search for the HP ePrint icon on your printer's display. 
  • Step 5: Or you can refer to the printer manual to see the compatibility.
  • Step 6: Press the HP ePrint icon to print the information page.
  • Step 7: Or login to the HP Connect account and find the printer's email address.
  • Step 8: If you have no account, go to HP ePrint Setup.
  • Step 9: Enable the Web Services and print the printer code.
  • Step 10: Visit HP Connect and click Create Account.
  • Step 11: Type the printer code on the home page and click Add.

How to Setup

  • Step 1: Sign in to your Amazon account.
  • Step 2: Open the drop-down menu.
  • Step 3: Select Alexa Skills and then hit Enter.
  • Step 4: Look for HP and pick HP Printer from the skills list.
  • Step 5: Click Enable to Use.
  • Step 6: On the Skills Permissions screen, select Save Permissions to allow Alexa to access the lists.
  • Step 7: Tick the I agree with check box and then click HP Account.
  • Step 8: Log in with the HP account credentials.
  • Step 9: Pick the printer to be used and click Connect.
  • Step 10: The printer is now ready to print with the Amazon Alexa device.

How to Print

  • Step 1: Confirm that the printer is powered up and in a ready state to accept print requests.
  • Step 2: Tell, "Alexa, ask my printer to print a Help page."
  • Step 3: A page with the up-to-date list of content, voice commands, and other useful information is printed.

You can find the types of items you can ask Alexa to print on the Alexa skills page. Give the command: "Alexa, ask my printer to print my shopping list" or "Alexa, ask my printer to print my to-do list." Tell Alexa to print a blank calendar so that you can fill in with reminders and events. For coloring activities, Say: "Alexa, ask my printer to print a Crayola coloring page" or "Alexa, ask my printer to print Art Therapy."
