So let go through a select few to delete visited sites,

Google Chrome (PC)

  • Launch your Mac or Windows system.
  • Double-click the Google Chrome icon to open the browser.
  • On the right of the screen, you will see the settings icon in the shape of a wrench.
  • Click on the option Clear Browsing data.
  • You can also open the browsing history using the shortcut key; Ctrl + H.
  • The Clear Browsing Data dialog box appears.
  • You can select the checkbox on the left to delete websites, or you can click Select All box.
  • You can select one more option, that is deleting the websites within a particular time zone. For example. Last two hours.
  • Once you have done, you can click the button CLEAR BROWSING DATA to remove the sites.

Google Chrome (Android)

  • Launch the Chrome browser on your Android device to open it.
  • Locate the Settings option in the chrome browser.
  • The option Clear History and Website Data will be displayed at the center of the screen.
  • The Clear Browsing Data dialog box will open.
  • You will see a drop-down option. Select an alternative of your choice.
  • Click the Browsing History checkbox.
  • Click the option Clear Browsing Data located at the bottom of the dialog box.
  • The websites will be deleted from the Google Chrome browser in your Android device.

Internet Explorer

  • Launch the internet browser on your Windows computer.
  • Locate the General tab in the browser.
  • Click on the Browsing History option.
  • The browsing history dialog box opens.
  • Select the checkbox to delete the websites present in the browsing history.
  • Click Delete and click OK.
  • The browsing history will be deleted from your Internet Explorer.


  • Launch the Firefox browser on your Windows or Mac system.
  • Click the Menu and Click the History option. Proceed to click the Clear button.
  • Clear the All History dialog box will now open.
  • In Time Range to Clear: select Everything to delete all the files in your Firefox browser.
  • You can also delete the websites visited at a particular time by scrolling through the time slot for each site.
  • Once you have selected the websites, click the Clear Now button.

Safari (MAC)

  • Open the Safari browser on your Mac system.
  • On the top-right corner of the safari browser, click the plus icon.
  • Select the History option and select Clear History.
  • The Clear history box will appear.
  • In the Clear drop-down list, select a timezone or All History.
  • Click on the Clear History button.
  • The browsed websites will be deleted from your Safari browser.

Safari (iOS) 

  • Launch your iPhone or iPad.
  • Open the home screen and press the settings option.
  • Navigate to the application option.
  • Scroll down the screen until you locate the Safari browser.
  • Tap on the Safari browser.
  • You will find an option Clear History and Website Data at the center of the screen.
  • Press the option to delete the browsed websites.
  • The iOS device will ask for a confirmation to delete the browsing history.
  • Tap Clear History and Data to Delete visited sites from your iOS device.
