  • Step 3: Enter "gpedit.msc" in the text box and hit the Enter key.
  • Step 4: In the pop-up window, navigate to the left-side panel and select the Computer Configuration tab followed by Administration Templates.
  • Step 5: Select Windows Components from the drop-down list and click Remote Desktop Services.
  • Step 6: Under Remote Desktop Services, click the Remote Desktop Session Host tab followed by Security.
  • Step 7: Under Setting, click the "Require use of specific layer for remote (RDP) connections" option to open the RDSH settings.
  • Step 8: Select the Enabled radio button and choose RDP from the Security Layer drop-down menu.
  • Step 9: Click the OK button to open the Require user authentication for remote connections by using Network Level Authentication setting and select the Disabled radio button.
  • Step 10: Click the OK button to save the applied changes.
  • Step 11: Now, check if the error 0x102 code reappears.
