Step 1: Unpack The Materials

  • Step 1: Unpack the printer and make sure to check the following items inside the box: setup guide, CD-ROM, power cord, and telephone cord.
  • Step 2: Place the Canon Imageclass MF445DW Printer on a flat surface and ensure to place it near the router to reduce any interference.
  • Step 3: Remove all protective tapes from the printer and also unpack the components that came along with the printer.
  • Step 4: Make sure not to remove the sticker that covers the USB port.

Step 2: Installation

Ink Installation

  • Step 1: Raise the access panel from the control panel area and then lift the toner panel.
  • Step 2: Take out the toner cartridge from the package and shake it gently five to six times.
  • Step 3: Pull the seal tape and insert the toner cartridge into the machine.
  • Step 4: Close the toner cover and lower the access panel.

Paper Installation

  • Step 1: Pull-out the paper cassette from the printer and slide out the adjustment edges to their maximum.
  • Step 2: Load a stack of plain paper into the cassette and adjust the edges.
  • Step 3: Make sure not to exceed the maximum limit and not to damage the paper.
  • Step 4: Insert the paper cassette into the Canon Imageclass MF445DW printer.

Step 3: Connect The Printer

  • Step 1: Utilize the power cord that came with the package. Connect the power cord into the printer’s power jack and another end into the power outlet.
  • Step 2: Connect the telephone wire cord to the line jack socket on the printer and plug the other end into the modular wall jack.
