  • Step 1: Turn on your Mac.

  • Step 4: In the System Preferences window, move down and locate the Flash Player icon. Or, you can type Flash Player in the search field to locate the Flash Player icon. In case you don’t find the Flash Player icon in the System Preferences display, it means you have not installed Flash Player plug-in on your Mac.
  • Step 5: Now, click the Flash Player icon.
  • Step 6: In the Flash Player display, click the fourth tab, which says Updates.
  • Step 7: Under the Updates tab, you will have three options to update the Flash Player plug-in on your Mac.
  • Step 8: You can select any option you wish. But, if you want to keep the Adobe Flash Player plug-in updated on your Mac, then select the ‘Allow Adobe to install updates’ option. This will automatically update your Adobe Flash Player plug-in in the future.
  • Step 9: To update your Adobe Flash Player immediately, click the Check Now button. It will search if there is any update available for the Adobe Flash Player.
  • Step 10: If the display shows any available update, click Yes and continue according to the on-screen instruction to install the update.
  • Step 11: If there is no update available, a pop-up will display the message ‘Adobe Flash Player is now up-to-date on this system.’ Click OK.
